What A Merry Christmas!

We had a great Christmas this year. We were able to spend it with family and friends.

With Daddy working at No Worries and at our friend's tree lot on the weekends for the whole month of December we stayed busy making Christmas treats to give to our friends. We tried to encourage our kids to give not just recieve- hopefully they understood that a little.


Makenna had a Christmas program at school. It was so cute. She had a speaking part and she did a great job. She loves attention so it was perfect for her!

Christmas outfits. We spent Christmas Eve at my parents house and came home that night so Santa could find us. We had Christmas dinner with Cory's family and opened presents and played with our cousins. Then we got an extra special treat because Cory didn't have to work that weekend. It was so nice to spend time with him- he's has been gone a lot the past couple months, but when you have the work you gotta take it. We had so much to be thankful for this year and hope it can continue into the next. Happy New Year!

6 Months!

I can't believe how time flies. Baby Gage is already 6 months. It seems like just yesterday it was June. I took him to the doctor yesterday and he is tall and skinny and the smallest of all our kids. He was 2'4" and 16 lbs. He is so happy all the time! He loves rolling over (until he gets stuck), playing in his activity station, and laughing at his brother and sister. We are so lucky to have him!

Tonight Makenna didn't want to eat her dinner ( she has some problem with just about everything right now) and she was mad that we were not going to let her help put up Christmas lights. She finally ate some and was able to help. As we were cleaning the table Cory said to her "If you do this again you will lose, no Christmas!" She just looked back at him and said, "Fine, I'll just celebrate Hanukah!". I guess she showed him. It was so funny it was hard to be angry at her after that.

Our Computer is Back!

Our computer had some monstrous virus and compound that with a two-year-old who destroys everything he comes in contact with touch buttons, so we've been w/o it for a few weeks. Here are some pictures of the Pumpkin Patch and Halloween. Makenna and Gunner really liked the pumpkin patch and Gunner seemed to understand Halloween a little better. He just thought everything was "too cary", but if he got candy he was alright. Gage was our little firefighter and was content as could be while we took the other kids to trick-or-treat.

We had our family pictures taken a few weeks ago to include our baby
Gage. They turned out pretty well. Gunner was not the happiest but we were trying to beat the rain so he did not get the best nap. Esther took wonderful pictures as usual, and got great shots of all the kids. We are so glad to have her to document everything for us with awesome pictures.

Our Big Boy

I feel like I don't write enough about or take enough pictures of Gage, so I am going to journal this mostly to make myself feel better about neglecting his growth. Gage is now almost 5 months old and is growing too fast. I already am missing my tiny baby and in no rush for him to grow up. I just wish he could stay little. We took him to the doctor today and he was 15 pounds and 26 inches. He was our smallest and still is. I'm starting to worry that he might be taking after me in height poor kid! Gage has been such a great baby! I love that he giggles when you undress him (he is so ticklish), he smiles from the moment he wakes up and keeps on smiling practically the whole day, and he is such a cuddler! Gage is almost rolling over and loves to sit up and watch his brother and sister. Makenna is so helpful with both of her brothers and loves being the only girl because she feels that she is in charge. Gunner loves his "bruder", sometimes a little too much, and I hope that they can continue to be close friends as they grow up. He loves to make "Baby Chage" smile and is so proud of himself when he does.

Fourth Pic

This is my fourth picture in my fourth folder on my computer. We had just got a digital camera when Makenna was born, so our pictures start with her. This was her first Halloween and she was about 6 weeks old. We got the pumpkin costume because it could be boy or girl. Cory insisted on this because even though we had two ultrasounds that said girl he was convinced it was a boy. Of course he really didn't care and was so excited to have his little princess. He was probably pretty excited to also get candy with her halloween bag that she obviously needed.

Lake Mead Trip

Makenna had the last week of September off, so we decided to take one last "summer" vacation this year. Lake Mead was wonderful. The weather was perfect, not too hot and the water was still warm, the boat and the jetskis ran without any problems, and everyone had a lot of fun.

This year Makenna and Gunner really loved riding the tube. Every ride they held their "thumbs up" the whole ride because they did not think they were going fast enough

Gunner doing his usual - throwing rocks. At home, at school, anywhere he can find a rock he will throw (preferably at a target, the jetski being the target luckily it was too far out for him to reach).

Makenna loves floating in the water with her lifejacket. This year they both swam really well which made things a little easier. Gunner realized the benefit of wearing the lifejacket while he swims to keep him up . They also love jumping off the back of the boat. Makenna also tried to stand up on wake surf board while Cory was holding it and she stayed up pretty well. So next year, a pair of little water skis hopefully.

So this trip I had issues with having my camera where I needed it when I needed it. If I was on the boat then it was on the shore, and if I was on the shore it was of course on the boat. So I missed some great pictures of the guys wake surfing and tubing, but I felt so bad because when I got home I realized that I had not taken a single picture of Gage. What a terrible mom! Wingstop is OPEN!

Cory and his brothers have been working so hard all summer on building Wingstop and last night was the "soft" opening for the owner his fam, friends, and the contractors who worked on it. The restaurant looked amazing. It is hard to believe that just a few months ago it was an empty building and my amazingly talented hubby made it into a working restaurant. Anyway, the food was great and everything went well. So if you are in the mood for great wings and goodies and want to see the work check it out. Wingstop is on the corner of Soledad and Sierra Hwy in the Albertsons shopping center. Great job No Worries!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to our Little Princess! I guess she is not so little anymore. Makenna is a smart, caring, (patient-as a little boy in her class told her), wonderful girl. She is a great big sister who really takes good care of her little brothers. She loves High School Musical, Barbies, and all girly things. She loves kindergarten, books, and learning how to read. She loves Peanut Butter cups, chicken nuggets, and crescent chicken rollups. Makenna can't wait to go to Primary every Sunday. She is a great little girl and we just Love her!

Finally! A day at the lake!

The boat has been sadly under-used this summer, but we were so glad that Cory had a day off and we got to use it. Yay! We thought we would try Lake Piru since have never been there and Castaic is usually busy on Sat. and it was great! Cody and Lauren brought their boat also, along with some friends. The water was a little cold but the weather was great and we had a good time exploring the lake and getting to be with Dad (our kids just can't get enough of Cory, they always want to be with him). It was so nice to be able to have a day to do something that we enjoy doing as a family with our extended family as well. Hopefully we can get a few more in before the summer really ends!

Three Months Later!

Not only is today our cute dog, Maximus', birthday, but our Baby Gage is three months old. How time flies! It seems like yesterday we brought him home. We could not ask for a better baby. He is so content all the time, even when he is being attacked by his big brother. He is such a patient baby, too; I'm still trying to figure out how to please everyone at the same time, and Gage is always so mellow. We just love him so much!

Gage's Blessing Day

Yesterday Gage was blessed by his dad along with his grandpas, and uncles, and friends. Besides Gunner not feeling so well, it was a wonderful day. We are so lucky to have sweet. little Gage in our family!

Santa Cruz Boardwalk

A few weeks ago we went to visit some of our family in Northern California. One of the days we went with my cousins and their kids to the Boardwalk. What a great time all the kids had! They have so many little rides that are perfect for little kids. Gunner was so excited that he was able to ride in the airplanes and helicopters. All the kids loved the "mini" Double Shot. They would run back in line as soon as they got off, so we were at that ride a lot. It was so much fun and so nice to get together with our family that we don't get to see very often.

Shade/ Bow Party

This WEDNESDAY, September 3, Amber and I are going to have a combined Shade Clothing/ Hair bow Party at 6:30 at my house. Shade has a great new line out with a lot of cute, new styles and I have a bunch of already-made hair bows to take that night and I will take custom orders as well. Anyone who wants to come and take a look at the bows and try on the Shade shirts or just get and visit is welcome to come. Invite your friends! See ya there!

End of summer fun

Cory has been working NONSTOP for the past couple weeks and he finally got a day off so we decided to go to the beach. The kids had a blast and perfect little Gage just sat in he seat content as could be!

My mom and I took the kids to Sea World. Makenna loved it, Gunner didn't have the patience to wait for the shows to start and listen to the trainers talk, he only wanted action. Kenna's highlight was feeding the dolphins, and we even Gunner got to pet one as well, even though after he did his nervous habit kicked in and he instantly put his hand in his mouth. So far I don't think he has got salmonella or what ever disease dolphins carry. Overall it was tons of fun!

First day of School August 14!

Here are a few pictures of Makenna's first day of kindergarten. She has been ready to go for months now. She loves her teacher, Mrs. Evans, and was making new friends from the second she got in line. When I picked her up she told me that she loved it! We are so proud of our big girl, but she is growing up too fast!
