Happy Birthday Gage!

Gage turned 2 on June 12. We had a small family party on his birthday. Because his brother had a birthday 2 weeks ago, he was starting to understand birthdays and was so excited when the cake was for him and he got ot blow out the candle. We had fun playing on the water slide, eating pizza, and decorating cupcakes.
He is such a sweet little boy with quite a temper that peeks through every so often. He loves hugs and kisses and cuddles. He loves playing with his brother. Gage is also our animal lover. He loves our dog and he was so excited to get his own little pet, a turtle. He kept saying "shurtle" over and over again. We love our little baby boy who is growing into a big boy way too fast!

For our friend's birthday we went to Citywalk and they guys that were with us did the indoor skydiving. Cory was a speck tall, but he was still able to get up there. We followed that up by a yummy dinner...a great date night!

Vasquez Rocks

A couple months ago (I know I am behind) we were looking for something fun (and free) to go do. It was a beautiful day so Cory suggested Vasquez Rocks. The kids LOVED it! They had a blast being outside running around and climbing the rocks. The kids were having such a great time that we had to go get lunch at Jack's and come back for a little more climbing time.

Gunner is FOUR-WA

Gunner turned four (or four-wa as he says) on May 30th. He was so excited to turn four. We had an "army dude" party with Grandam Judy and Papa Jim at their house. On his actual birthday we were visiting some friends so we went out to dinner at a fun restaurant with a tree house and a mechanical bull. the next day we had another party with our family that lives close. Gunner is such a sweet little boy. He loves his dad and wants to be just like him. The other day we were driving by some construction and gunner said:"when I grow up I am going to work with my dad and drive medium scoops (backhoes)". He loves his little brother and his big sister. gunner loves Tranformers, cars, construction stuff, and Buzz Lightyear. He loves to go to school which is a big step for him. We are so happy we were blessed with our little boy.

Easter Fun

We had some family and friends (who we consider our family) over to dye Easter eggs. Gage was really into throwing the eggs into the dye and was quite upset when the eggs were all gone--he had re-dipped several eggs. The others were happy to see their cousins that we don't always get to see because of different school schedules. Top it off with yummy brownies...it was a great night!












This year we tried to make Easter Story cookies I found on the Idea Room blog. We read scriptures to go along with the ingredients to tell the Easter story. Our kids are still a little young but Makenna understood and Gunner was interested. we at least made an attempt to go beyond Easter egg hunt and the Easter bunny...try again next year because it was fun!

Butterfly Ball

Cory and Kenna were able to go to the Daddy/daughter dance on March 19. Makenna and I went shopping for a new dress and shoes. I also did her hair and nails and she looked very cute. We even found a matching tioe for Dad so she was do excited. Despite having an ear infection(my kids always know how to get sick right before something important) she danced all night with her dad. We are so glad that we have such a great dad! And a great little girl, too!!
